Community Blood Center of the Ozarks with one simple mission:
“To provide a quality blood supply, in a timely manner, at the lowest reasonable fee, while remaining accountable to the local community, blood donors and health care providers.”
Since their beginnings two decades ago and thanks to the efforts of many volunteers, CBCO has become the sole provider of blood products for 39 hospitals located in three states. When there is an excess of blood locally, CBCO supports other parts of the country that may be short on supplies. CBCO also supplies blood to the United States military, as part of a national effort to sustain our troops. More than 65,000 donations of blood are required each year to meet the transfusion needs of friends and neighbors. CBCO takes the responsibility of providing that blood very seriously.
As a not-for-profit organization, Community Blood Center of the Ozarks only recovers the cost incurred in the donation, testing and distribution of blood and blood products. CBCO is a member of America’s Blood Centers, a network of independent blood centers that provides over half of the nation’s blood supply, and is fully accredited by AABB.
Giving blood is the greatest thing you can do today, because it will make a difference tomorrow in the lives of your relatives, friends, and neighbors. Community Blood Center of the Ozarks is your blood center.
